Summary: The owner of Maudlin Railways has been murdered, and it’s up to the city’s best private detectives (and their loyal geneticist sidekick) to figure out whodunnit.
Warnings: None to speak of, unless you count the working assumption that Matt and Mohinder are totally married as being something that needs a warning. And it’s rated PG because of a little bit of violence. Otherwise, it’s a gen fic.

The request: Matt and Mohinder are clever fellows. They solve a mystery. A mystery that involves murder, white-collar crime, trains, and/or antique/scientific artifacts. Well, three out of four isn’t bad.
A public thank you/love letter/apology: I love comixologist for many reasons. One of which is that she took over for me as mod of this community for a few days when things really needed to get done but my real life was going crazy. Another is that she’s my internet!twin. So...<3<3<3, Motchi. I hope you like it!! Because you deserve it, rockstar, and you shouldn’t have had to wait so long. Even your pitch-hitter was late. Maybe trains will make up for it?

The Request: The Worst Best Christmas Ever--an agnostic Hindu and a mostly non-practicing Jew screw up every Christmas ritual possible, but Molly loves them both anyway.
Any notes?: I think this was better the first time I wrote it, but hopefully you like this version as well. My computer's down for the count, and even though I know better I didn't back it up. Sorry it's late. I switch POV in the various parts, which isn't something I normally do, so I hope it works. Oh, and I also managed to write about the first 2/3 of another of pockyslash's prompts, but I put it on the back burner to re-write this. But be on the lookout for a Mohinder's mother visits NYC and wackiness ensues fic in the not-too-distant future.

The Request: Mohinder competing with Nathan for Matt's affection in unusual ways that don't involve Matt actually being there, without Nathan knowing that they're even competing.

Hello, everyone! I'm stepping in briefly for kleenexcow to give everyone a modly nudge/announcement.

If you have not posted your fic, please do so by Saturday, January 5.

If something has come up and you will be unable to post a fic by Dec 5, please comment here as soon as possible so that we can find a pinch-hitter to replace you.

If the remaining stories are not posted by Jan 5, the requests will be forwarded to pinch-hitters automatically. Pinch-hits will be due one week later, on Saturday, January 12.

Comments will be screened, so that if you have defaulted due to personal event nobody has to know about it. Also, so that anyone who wants to pinch-hit can claim a person to write for and it will still be a secret.

I still owe a story to pockyslash. I did have it essentially done just a few days ago, but somehow managed to not get it posted. Then the day before yesterday the processor on my desktop died. I thought I had the story backed up elsewhere, but apparently when I cleared my flash drive to make rooms for Christmas songs, I also got rid of the only copy of the story. It shouldn't take me long to rewrite (though I doubt it will ever be as good as it was the first time around), but it's already late, and I'm sorry.

On the plus side, I do have the outline and 1/3 of a story I wrote for another of your prompts, so you'll get a bonus a few days after I finish the first story (should be by the end of the week. I've already redone the first half.
