Eastercon LX

Hiya,

if you were a member of LX, they will have passed your name and address onto Illustrious, the Eastercon for 2011.

We have recently posted you a PR (Progress Report), which gives you some info about what we're up to, and invites you to join. This is the only time we will contact you, as the data was given to us on a one-time only use.

If you want to know more about us, we're on the web at http://www.illustrious.org.uk/ , twitter as @2011Illustrious , and there is a Facebook event page too. There are two LJ communities: eastercon2011 http://community.livejournal.com/e… is for members, potential members, friends of Illustrious to talk to each other about things like room-share, travel arrangements, etc.

The LJ community 2011illustrious http://community.livejournal.com/2… is the more formal communications route, where announcements from the convention will be made. If you have comments, questions or feedback, please make them there if possible.

The price for attending Odyssey is due to go up on Monday 16th November.

The current prices are adult £55, unwaged £45, supporting £25, junior £25.
From Monday, these will be £65, £55, £30 and £30, respectively. All other prices stay the same.

There will be an Odyssey table at Novacon in Nottingham this weekend, and that's a good opportunity to join at the current rate. Alternatively, you can join via the Odyssey web site at:

The LX / Orbital souvenir book should be starting to arrive now. Nearly 1400 copies have been sent, one to each adult member of the conventions. There are a small number of incomplete addresses, mainly walkins. If you think youare one of these and have not recieved your copy within a week (UK) or two (rest of the world) please contact members@lx2009.org.uk

The souvenir books have gone to print and will be posted mid August. We will use the address given to LX for people who were at LX and both conventions. We will use the address Orbital has for people who were at Orbital but not LX.

If your address has changed since the convention please send the change of address along with your name to members@lx2009.org.uk

We will be sending a copy to all adult members of both conventions. If there are a number of people at the one address each will receive a copy unless you ask for only one copy to that address. Please send requests for only one copy to an address to members@lx2009.org.uk

Please send requests for change of address or reduced numbers of books by 12th August.

It's taken me a while, but I've finally finished producing the episode of Torchwood Wobblevision I directed at Eastercon LX. Hope you enjoy it!

I donated two Tarot readings to the GUFF auction.  One of the winners caught up with me and we had a nice quiet reading in the Courtyard bar.

I don't know who won the other one, but if they get in touch with me, I'd be happy to do the reading over the phone.
