On the 24th, the Ace of Cakes (Food Network), will be airing a Harry Potter cake they made. Also, some of the cast will be there as well. From the previews, it looks like it's from a premiere, possibly from OotP.

Instead of doing a Secret Santa this year, what if we did a card exhange instead? If you guys are interested, let me know and we can set a sign-up deadline for December

Halloween Party Recap!

The First Annual LVHPF Halloween Party was a crazy success!  And loads of fun to boot.

There was some kind of Wrock concert going on down the street from mlogansrun's house, but I headed straight over to her place to get things ready.  My mom and I got there and Morag headed out to go to the show while we prepped stuff to make Dragon Scales (aka Samosas).  After she left my mom started mixing stuff while I sought out and found a stepladder and started putting up black and orange streamers.  Now, I've never put up streamers before.  I had the basic theory of how they should look and how to do it, but theory only goes so far.  The first two ended up looking kinda retarded, but the rest were fine ^_^  Then my mom and I started to put up spiderwebbing across the ceiling in the dining room when childofpisces and his mom showed up.  She left because she had a headache, though.  He brought super yummy spinach dip and velveeta and chili dip (yummmm!!!!!!).  Matt, being much taller than my mom or myself, helped us get the webbing up, plus he helped me inflate and put up black and orange balloons :D  We started cooking the scales and Morag showed back up and saw the stuff we put up and squee'd, hehe (she had no idea we were putting anything up).  darkcelestial20 and dont_trip5143showed up next (with pizza!) and we put out black and orange plastic cups, spider rings, an assortment of other spooky ring thingies and some halloween-y pinwheels and spooky straws.  Erica and Ciara showed up after that (do you two have LiveJournals?) and brought us sweet goodies as well as pern_dragon and Barb (do you also has LJ?), who made these awesome meat/cream cheese/onion thingies.  Nicole came bearing a Magic Tub of Liquor, including a bottle of Jager the size of a small child XD  Then, in a surprise of awesomeness, we had a special guest who showed up - keytothecage!  She didn't know our Halloween party was that night, but was in town and Matt had told her to come join us :D  Then princess_schezand her parents made it with more goodies including pizza rolls (which hubby is still devouring) and we all grabbed food and drinks and chilled in Morag's front room, talking and having good times.  snapeybearsand her boy Taylor showed up with more food goodies, and crashstitchesfinally made it down as well (he was waiting for our friend Eddie who went MIA on us).  We all hung out a while in the front room before heading to the back room to play HP Scene It!  Steph kept yelling Professor Snape for all the answers (except the one which was Karky and she yelled "Hermione!" XDDD).  Then Snapey finally came on screen and we SCREAMED, lol!!!  After that we went to take a group picture with the, oh yeah, 6 FOOT Snape I had made.  I also had made a 3 foot green head of Voldy (for us to play Pin the Nose on Voldemort).  So we then played Pin the Dark Mark, Penis and Voldy's Nose on Snape, and had a crazy raucous time ^_^  All in all, it was just fucking INSANE!  And the best Halloween Party EVAR.

I'll try to post some pictures!  We only have a few on my cam that my hubby took, but everyone else took loads of pics, so I'm just waiting to get them :)

I can't wait for next year, lol!
