Prompt 24 - Pool

There was something to be said about exercising in a nice neighbourhood. For one thing, the footpaths were clean, and no one jeered at them. Sirius kept the pace gentle and led them into a pristine park. They jogged around an idyllic-looking duck pond, down the length of a kid’s playground that didn’t have a single broken piece of equipment and between rows of the most beautiful flowerbeds Remus had ever seen. He kept almost tripping over his feet; he was turning his head so much to take it all in. His surroundings were so lovely, in fact, that he barely noticed how long they’d been running and was shocked when Sirius started cooling them down as they headed home.
Remus was puzzled when Sirius led them around the back of the house instead of inside, but then it all became clear as he rounded the corner and was greeted by Sirius’s naked arse as he lifted his arms above his head and performed a perfect swan dive into the inviting pool.
“Come on, Remus, the water’s perfect!” he called as he rolled onto his back and started doing a length of backstroke. Remus bit down on his lip as he looked around. Sirius’s garden was pretty well shielded from his neighbours, except for James and Peter, as he had now discovered that the trio had opened up their gardens into one huge one.
“What if anyone sees?”
“Back door’s open; I’ve left you a pair of trunks on the counter by the washing machine. Get changed and then get in here!” Sirius told him, sending a wave of water in his direction, which he quickly dodged, and he went to get changed.
He found the trunks, but made a detour upstairs, digging around Sirius’s drawers until he found an old T-shirt. He pulled it on over his head, covering his scars and headed back downstairs. If Sirius was bothered that Remus had borrowed one of his tops, he didn’t say anything about it as Remus lowered himself into the cool water. It was a stark contrast to his still sweaty body, but it felt wonderful.
He paddled out to where Sirius waited for him, and they started floating side by side, relaxing and enjoying the warmth of the summer’s day. That was until two idiots came barrelling across the grass and cannonballed into the water right beside them.
