I thought I wouldn't be able to make it to celebrate the end of finals, but here it is!
Some favorite lines with no context:
Sunken hopes in a cup of merry accompanied by the type of loneliness that’s only accomplishable in a crowd.
Silence is too violent a thing to bear, so the clutter of thought bolstered itself into a barrier.
This church lurches in his heart like a ship at sea, but it erects itself like a mountain for his parents. He doubts a single thing has changed for all 11 years since then.
Maybe that’s why Mother and Father only take him to falling churches and this poor graveyard. He wouldn’t know, for while he bears a burdened name, it affords him no insight.
The statue looks so lonely cast in smoke and dirt. Its form remains unchipped and wondrous, but it lords over nothing. He feels like it deserves someone at least to lend an ear and keep it company.

I'm also in such a rut right now. I'm just stuck with bridging my ideas, and I'm such a sequential writer that skipping scenes isn't much of an option. I'm trying though. I'm thinking about getting a chapter or two finalized to post soon. No promises though since I haven't edited a single sentence
