Pro-censorship wattpad refugees drama is so funny to me because when I started using ao3 as a kid I was a devout mormon and I thought that reading anything even remotely pornagraphic was a sin and would ruin my life. So when I was 13 and found ao3 I went "oh awesome I found a fanfic website with a filtering system so I won't ever randomly stumble into porn. This is great! I was really worried about seeing something I didn't want to see on the other platforms." I didn't read any smut online until like three years later. If a mormon 13 year old can figure out 'don't like don't read' wattpad users can too cmon you guys i believe in you.

For all of SNW's run, I have been terrified that the writers would reveal that Spock's true reason for choosing to forgo emotions and pursue Vulcan logic was because a girl broke his heart. Which would be such a disservice to his character, having a core tenet of his being stem from fear of pain rather than his own cultural heritage. Whether it was due to Chapel or La'an or T'Pring, I was fully prepared to sigh in resignation when it inevitably happened.

So imagine my surprise when Spock chooses to forgo emotions and pursue Vulcan logic not because of a failed romance, but because he had a stress dream about everyone turning into a puppet and he nearly cracked under the pressure.

I don't even know what to do with this information.

To all the people migrating from Wattpad to Ao3… It is not the author’s fault that you ate the dead dove. Stop reporting fics that you personally do not like.
