Serenity Now!

So I'm watching tv last night and the commercial for the Serenity dvd comes on - it was my first time seeing it. They are definitely selling it differently for the dvd. I still don't like the cover, but I'm just glad it will be in my hands for repeated viewings very soon.

Then I saw this link come through - they are selling it with a different cover in the land of Oz. I have a region free dvd player - I think I might just have to get one of the pretty ones too. Just doing my part to fight the Alliance...

Dumbledore love

Three times today I've had to reach down and adjust my socks. Each time I do, I think about Dumbledore seeing socks in the Mirror of Erised and it makes me happy. I need new socks. I need lots of new socks - black ones, brown ones, tan ones, and even a few white ones ::thinks of Jim Ellison fondly:: Heck, I'll even take some Dumbledore polka-dot socks at this point. Since I'm wishing into the well, I also need work shoes - I wore sandals all summer long so I forgot how badly worn my healed dress shoes were. It's only gotten too cold to wear sandals in the last few weeks, so I didn't realize I needed shoes until the Christmas shopping season had descended. I hate shopping during this time of year and will make do with my current shoes until January, but I must get new socks before then.

Why yes, I am having a completely useless Monday. How could you tell????

Yay x 3 = !!!!

I just got presale tickets to see Bon Jovi in Dallas in January!!!! I went the last time they were in Dallas and had a blast. It's such a fun show, plus HOT guys!

I'm heading out this afternoon to Chimp Haven, it's a retirement community for research and entertainment chimps that was built outside of town. My coworker has been invited to the pre-opening celebration and she's invited me along. I've heard so much about it, and I've even donated to them for the past three years while they got their funding together. I can't wait to see what they've done with the place. It used to be a correctional facility that the parish donated to the cause. It's not a zoo - more of a nature hike around where the chimps live and play. I'm excited.

Also - HOCKEY tonight!!!! I missed the first two games because I was at ZCon and I can't wait to see my boys back on the ice.

Hockey + Bon Jovi + Animals = Yay!

I just watched Desperate Housewives - I saw Lynette/Dana do the Boogie Shoes dance! I love that she finally got to dance on the bar to Boogie Shoes!

Bones

Is anyone watching Bones ? Anyone? Bueler?

It has Angel's David Boreanz playing a FBI agent. He's still very hot and he can finally go out in daylight, though you wouldn't know it from his pale naked chest in last week's episode. I don't think Fox knows where the show is going and I hate making attachments to any show on Fox until I'm sure it'll at least make an entire season. Any scoop on the show, any good discussion, etc?

In unrelated news and in case you live under a rock and don't know - SERENITY OPENS FRIDAY!!!!! I've seen it so I know you should go see it. Repeatedly. Take many many friends each time! Serenity!!! I'll be seeing it in Dallas (where we saw the sneak peek) while simonesa and myself shop, talk, eat and do all things fun and see Serenity repeatedly.
