I created this community out of frustration. I have so many things I want to learn and so many things I want to share. I’m too old to be starry-eyed and idealistic, but here I am. I am one of those people who no longer wants to be stressed out or obsessed with money. I want to be financially independent and in control of my life. I do not want to be constrained by systems or schemes or taxes. I want to know who my neighbors are and that there are good and kind and talented people living near me. I like to work with my hands. I like to see dynamic humanity. I like to see human beings caring about one another.
This community is about learning to have control over your money, living below your means, living a green lifestyle, having the resources to live the way you want.This community isn’t about being poor, although you may have little or no income coming in. It’s about time, your life energy, your freedom, and you as an indivudal.
It is also about setting up some sort of community skill exchange and/or barter system. It is about creating a neighborhood dynamic that is completely voluntary and where no money is involved. Since this is a local group, it would be best if you lived in the South Minneapolis area. No one is going to police this, it would just be more convient for everyone involved.

This community is open to anyone regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, economic status, sexual oreination, et al. If you are close-minded indivdual who cannot be respectful of other’s life choics at the very least refrain from judgement and negativity. I want this to be a safe place. Politcally, there are a lot of charged issues here. I tend to be quite green, myself, and of course you can join whatever political pursaution you are, just do not turn this into a heated debate forum. Any hateful language and you will be banned as it detracts from our purpose here. NO DRAMA, FLAMING, SELLING ANYTHING or PROMOTING OTHER LJ COMMUNITIES.
