So the arm warmers I made like 4 to 6 years ago have stretched so much they fall off my arms. They make excellent leg warmers now, so its time to make some new armlets

Starting with the hem intended to wrap around my knuckles. 3 panels fabricated, 1 more needed, then I can sew the hem and make it the foundation upon which the rest of the armlet is built on

So this headset still works great but the adhesive holding the foam padding in place was *only applied to the thin pleather skin, which does not breathe.* After 2 years of sweat, that adhesive gave up and the padding is Fully falling apart.

Bonus points, the edge of that thin retaining layer was *so* thin it cut the side of my face open. Twice.

So! With the sweater dress on hold until I gather the will to seam rip several days of sewing cause I didn’t connect the neck, shoulders, and bust in a manner that still allows the garment to stretch as intended, I decided a small repair project was just the thing.

Also Imma pick up more yarn in case I need to re fabricate some pieces. Also I wanna make a matching rain shawl with chunky wool, and a lighter wind shawl from a mereno wool - cotton blend I am in LOVE with. Layered together will be toasty and dry in winter, and the seperate bits can be mixed and matched with other garments as desired.

I’ll want the wind shawl to fall to mid thigh in the back so that one is gonna take a hot min, but the rain shawl doesn’t need to hang past my shoulderblades / bust.

Anyone make or know someone who makes buttons / fasteners from natural materials like stone, wood, and ceramic?

crochet rambling i feel like I'm just sitting on the patio with my hook chattin with randos :3
