IT WAS SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD oh my god, I think I laughed for two hours straight. The audience roared and applauded and laughed and screamed at all the cameos, and we cheered for the good guys and the whole auditorium was filled with love. IT WAS LIKE INJECTING JOY, I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW ELSE TO DESCRIBE IT.
And oh god, I was vaguely spoiled (I guess) by Stephanie Beatriz's tweet saying she basically had an orgasm during Kate McKinnon's "big scene", but I didn't really understand until I was sitting in the theatre with my jaw hanging open going KEEP IT TOGETHER, SELF, YOU'RE IN PUBLIC YOU'RE IN PUBLIC. I just. HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGH.
Also, THEY ADDED AN HISTORIAN TO THE GHOSTBUSTERS, Y'ALL!!!!! THEY. ADDED. AN HISTORIAN. WHich is fucking CORRECT, because 90% of the original crew's problems came from not knowing what shit they were fucking with. I mean yes, Egon did some architectural research and Winston knew New York, but Patty is ANOTHER. LEVEL. I LOVE HER AND WOULD MARRY HER ALSO.
Relatedly, who is going to write me the filthy femslash fic where Patty starts playtesting (ayyy) sex toys for Holtzmann, and then they just have lots of sex but then it is AWKWARD FEELINGS TIEM and Holtzmann learns how to communicate and Patty learns that it's ok for her to be vulnerable and real because Holtzmann values her and will always care for her??????
