Et in arcadia ego...
I used to live in New York, where I got snowed on a lot, read a lot of political philosophy, and drank too much maple liqueur. Now I live in England, where I get rained on a lot, read Farmers' Weekly, and go to work every day in a suit. I hate suits, farms, and rain, and I quite like maple liqueur in the snow. I'm told this is growing up.

I can't act, I can't dance, I can sing a little. Mostly, what I can do is write.
You can find all my fanfiction in my LJ memories or on the Archive of Our Own, and rest assured it's pretty much all work-safe because I can't write porn to save my life. It's mostly gen, with a lot of slash and some het, and I've lost count of how many fandoms it's in. Most recently it's Vorkosigan and Sapphire & Steel, but I never leave a fandom, not really.
My fic is also tagged, and so are any recs posts I make. I'm only just starting to use tags, so they're a bit confused right now. Bear with me on that.
[A quick note on warnings - if there are none listed on a story, there's nothing to warn for. I would warn for graphic violence, non/dub-con, etc. - but, er, I never have had to yet. If you want more info on any story, feel free to email me or send a message and I'll do my best.]

This is not quite a journal and not quite a blog - I'm not one of those people who writes "I DON"T DO THIS FOR YOU" in her userinfo, it's a journal on the internet, of course it's for you. It's also for me, so it's about me, sometimes. And, about politics, about fandom, about second-generation immigrants, about sex, about mental health, about ghosts on the London Underground, about how the people of Switzerland have adopted the legal principle that plants have dignity. I travel a lot; I think too much; I love the sea.
