Here is a response I received from LJ about getting a new maintainer for this group:

Dear LiveJournal user hollyking,

Thank you for your query. The LiveJournal community 'lodgeofherne' seems to be inactive right now. The LiveJournal Abuse Prevention Team will strive to make sure active communities have an active maintainer if the absence of an active maintainer is reported to us. If the community should become active again, please let us know and we can investigate further.

Regards
LiveJournal Abuse Prevention Team

So if we start being active again we can have a new maintainer. Sounds like a plan to me. ;)

Resurrection?

Greetings!

For various reasons I'm reigniting my own practice. Being disconnected from my old group, moving 1,800 miles away has a way of doing that, I was searching for some resources online as well as locally. This group sounds like a great resource for pagan men. However, I see that the last post was nearly two years ago and the maintainer has deleted their LJ account.

I'm willing to put some effort into reviving the group and moving it forward. I don't want to step on any toes and would only proceed with the blessing and support of the members. So my questions to you are:

Should we resurrect lodgeofherne?

Should we let this group be and start a new group for pagan men?

Should I just go away leave it be?

Let me know how you all feel. Blessed Be.

An Odd But Pertinent Question..

I am trying to fram this question as eloquently as possible,so here goes.

I am researching several articles discussing how pagan groups fail. What contributes to this, and why.

I have read a few great articles, but it still leaves me thinking.

I cannot speak for women, but as a Pagan Male, what is the Role of a Pagan Male in keeping order and cohesiveness in a group? Is this any different than the role of a Woman in a Coven? or do we have different roles?

I find that I have little experience with Men in the Coven setting, I have tended to be in groups that were either all male,or predominantly Female. As we grow, I see more men come into the Coven, and I would like to ask those of you who have been in covens that are gender mixed, how this plays out,and as more men come into the group, how does it affect the dynamic for better or worse?

Hope this was not too convoluted, it probably was.

Anyway..answer at will..

into and hello

Hello,

I just found this group and joined because I liked the idea of a place were pagan men and share thoughts and ideas. My bio says covers most of who I am but I will hit the high points here. Feel free to read it if you want.

I awoke to my pagan path almost 6 years ago now. When asked what that path is my best and only answer is “it is a pagan path with shamanic elements.” Currently I am not working closely with any group and am doing a lot of independent study. One area were I am currently focusing my studies is in researching the Triple God. I am looking for Bridget’s counter part if you will. I have also been called to teach another and a lot of my energy and time is going into that.

In my interest and hobbies I am very eclectic. I hunt and sew. I work with electronics and program while I also recreate ancient tools and cloths using techniques that are very close to the way they did it them. I am a craftsmen and not an artist.

Well I guess that is enough for now. O, one last thing, I just opened a pagan news community call all_pagan_news (http://community.livejournal.com/a…) if you are interested check it out.

Introduction

Hello All,

I found this group a little while ago and thought it was time to join. My initial training was an eclectic mix and for the past several years, I have been following a more ceremonial path. Most recently, I have been trying to figure out the best way to combine a natural path with some of the ceremonial aspects. I look forward to getting to know some of you.

Regards,

Braums

PS
There is an additional book by Nigel Jackson and co-author called the Pillars of Tubal Caine that compliments some of his work in Horned Piper and Masks of Misrule.
