Laura: London: Postcard Assignment 3

This is kind of a 2 part assignment.

Part 1:
During the Great Plague of 1665 the Earl of Craven purchased a plot of land to the west of central London. He built 36 small houses "for the reception of poor and miserable objects" afflicted with the plague. When they died the people were burried in the rest of the land which served as a large burial ground (approx. 4,000 people). The land acquired a nickname: "Earl of Craven's pest-field." Your mission is to find this "field" (clue: it's no longer called a field).

Part 2: A statue of an important dignitary stands at this location. He only has one other statue of himself in London. Find the other statue.

As always send me a postcard or a picture of the locations. If you need a hint just ask.

I love you Laura

I got your letter today which is really funny since I just sent a letter that said basically the same thing. See our shared half of our brain is plotting to keep us together. Letter writing may just have to be our thing. I like that idea actually. Hopefully you'll get the letter next week.

love,

Valentine's Day Goodies from Laura

I wanted to let you know that I got your gift. I love everything btw. And because I'm me I had to photograph it all.

I sent Avenger LLama to you today so you should receive him by next week sometime. I miss him already. I couldn't get a smaller package so you'll have to deal with a large unwieldy one. Suck on that. Let me know when he gets there because I have pics of my San Fransisco trip that I want to post but I can't do that until you see Llama's new makeover. I don't want to spoil the surprise.

We definitely need to talk this week. OOH and make the Piccadilly Circus thing happen.

Laura: London: Postcard Assignment 1: Completed

Great job Laura!! It wasn't the exact place I had in mind but this definitely works. The couple that I was thinking of were Trafalgar Square and Big Ben. But then there are a ton of webcams which could have worked. We seriously need to make this one happen though. You could stand there and I could see you from all the way over here. That would be neat. I'm actually looking at the webcam right now. It's 12:11am your time and it looks like it's raining. The streets are wet and yet people are still out walking. (Piccadilly Webcam)

Anyways postcard is under the cut.
