Okay ENOUGH~!@# :)

I love to take photos. They represent a time gone. They capture a moment. Etc. And...

I want to share photos - but let's face it - I've got over 25 gigs. So any 'online gallery' solution I take on is going to NEED to support / strip info from metadata to create the 'photo description' on that page, etc. *not willing to put work into something I can't backup*

Also - I want- no HAVE to have a way to instantly upload photos to a online resource via cellphone / email.


...is what I want crazy?


To kinda recap - I have a huge amount of digital photos, and need an online gallery / solution to share photos with people that works with metadata, so I'm not re-doing all my work. I've recently switched to a linux server, so maybe there are solutions out there I don't know about I can now use?

CAMERA PHONES - I have one. I want to use it to take a photo and update my myspace/lj/etc. I also run www.okgamers.com - and want to MAINTAIN the idea of cellphone image galleries. The solution I use now is going away. Does anyone else have any idea's?

What does a geek do when she's looking for love?

How do you bring a guy home and show him your collection of comic books, or ask him to read your fan fiction? What do you do when you make a joke that involves binary code or string theory, and your date does not laugh? Do you hide your manga or your SCA costume patters? Or let them fly?

HOW DOES A GEEK FIND LOVE?

I just want someone to cuddle and watch Doctor Who and write Harry Potter fanfic with, who knows who the first 5 X-men were. Is that too much to ask?

Hi there, I'm new, my names Pete, so I'd thought I'd say hello, and uh, guess let you get to know me better.

I'm settled in now in my Anahiem home away from home. I miss my Les Paul guitar (at the other house) and my amps, thank God I got my Bass here though. I need to be playing music right now, get my mind of what I'm going through. SOme pictures that I got to take of it so far.

This community seems a bit dead, so I feel like I should contribute something.

Anyway, last year, I did a stupid thing and voluntarily worked retail for a year - Home Depot to be exact. The customers were rude and weird for part of it, but there were some entertaining moments.

For instance, one day while working self-check-out, a customer asks me to page his friend. I ask for his friends name, and he tells me "mike Hastur".

I stared for a moment with a big smile on my face, thinking he was joking. When I realized he was serious and had no clue about the reference going through my mind, I did the page.

Unfortunately, what I should have done was say: "Attention Home Depot shoppers, could I have a Mike Hastur...Hastur...HASTUR..."etc.


Someday, I miss being able to page...

Hi, I'm Simply Disturbing. I'm also a 20 bisexual girl with tattoos who has the tendancy to work in jobs relating to computer industry, date guys who a computer geeks/gamers and yet...I'm a psychology major. (For instance, at the moment, I'm looking for quotes for a Sata2 IDE converter...the fact I know what it is and not being a Comp Sci major is slightly frightening)
Will be graduating at the end of this year with my BS. I hang out with a group of Flaming Morons, role play (d20 systems) and make Lovecraftian references weekly.

I'm new in this community and thought it was time I asserted my *Geek pide*:)
I'm an Irish nerd studying English Literature in queens university, Belfast. Although I'm a 20 year old girl I dress like a 14 year old boy:) I love all kinds of computer games, comics, movies (sci fi/fantasy perferably- did you guess?:)and books. I've been on Lj for ages but only just thought of joining any communities!- I'm always willing to chat about various topics of sillyness and geekyness:)
