Ugh, my life is so uninteresting these days! I'd say I spend 98% of my time either working, sleeping or adding things to my Netflix Watch Instantly queue. Just adding, mind you. I have a serious problem, possibly requiring therapy of some sort, wherein I spend all my time browsing and adding things to my queue and none of my time watching anything. This is not going to turn out well.

But in other media news, I might have to see Going the Distance, even though I don't get Justin Long when he's playing a straight romantic lead. Because you know who's in that movie? CHARLIE FUCKING DAY. That's right. And every time I watch an episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia I question whether I love anyone else in the world more than I love Charlie Day.

I'm going to Canada for a week starting on Wednesday. I'm not even exactly sure where. Somewhere outside of Ottawa. It's someone's cottage on a river that my parents bid for at a church auction (welcome to my childhood), and now we're going up with my best friend and her family. I'm having deja-vu. It's like it's 1998 all over again. I'm going to bring my corduroy overall shorts and photo album of Leonardo DiCaprio magazine cutouts.

I left work early yesterday, with the kind of nausea that makes you go "GOSH I really wish I could PUKE MY BRAINS OUT just so I could stop feeling this nausea for one second!" Thankfully today I feel better.

The upside of this being that I finally started watching Fringe last night. Funny story about Fringe... I watched the first episode when it originally aired and I STRONGLY disliked it. I was all, "PALE IMITATION OF X-FILES. ANNA TORV YOU ARE NO FOX MULDER. NONE OF YOU ARE FOX MULDER." And I never watched it again. But I watched the first two episodes last night and I really liked them. What's up with that?

Oh, and I'm still overly excited for Camp Rock 2. Highly, highly excited. I wish rudhampaiel still lived around here so we could have a viewing party. I'd even help her do Zac Efron character insert/replacements with Chloe Bridges character. SIGH.

Is vacation supposed to be utterly exhausting?

No, it was lovely, but there were so many small children. And they LIKE me and it is utterly exhausting when small children want to sit and climb and smear their adorable sticky faces all over you for a week and a half.

And I have suddenly become a person who has freckles. This has never happened to me before.

In other news, I am completely overwhelmed by the volume of Inception fic flooding my flist. My To Read list is completely out of control. Thank god for liketheroad and her recs lists.

WHOO. Crazy week!

First we had an almost-tornado (and for you people who might live in the Midwest and be like, W-EVER WE GET TORNADOS EVERY SECOND SUNDAY, BITCH-- I live in Washington, D.C. We don't have tornadoes). I looked out the window and the sky was green and there was no rain but I watched a tree fall over on the next block and the power went out immediately. It was scary! I was like RUN TO THE BASEMENT, DAD! And my dad was like, chill out, it's a thunderstorm.

But the wind knocked over a tree at my friend's house that managed to land on TWO of her cars. While she was INSIDE THEM trying to close the windows. Miraculously, she was fine, but her cars are totaled. So we lost power for two days and all the food in our fridge died a sad, uneaten death.

But last night I went with some friends to the Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse and watched Twilight while these two very funny guys did a Mystery Science Theater thing. It was actually HILARIOUS. We are now all TEAM LORAX.

And I'm not sure how many times I've watched this video. And I don't even really listen to Hanson! Though I probably should.

JGL, HOW ARE YOU SO MAGNETIC?

It is too hot here. Like, extremely too hot. I'm not a person who wilts in the heat, normally. I've done multiple summers in NYC without air conditioning and it's been alright. But this is like... NO. I'm boiling. I just want to crank the air conditioning and wait for fall.

QUESTION: Do any of you have Bad Blood by Beck, off the new True Blood soundtrack? 

I'm not sure I want to buy the whole album and I can't find the individual track ANYWHERE. I hate it when iTunes and Amazon make all the songs on soundtracks "Album only" purchase. I thought that was the whole POINT of iTunes and Amazon mp3 stores; so you could buy the songs you want instead of whole cd's you don't want.

The Doctor has a new jacket. I am surprisingly UPSET at the lack of elbow patches. NEEDS MORE ELBOW PATCHES. What if he has no BOW TIE next series??? 

Emotional day at work today. I don't like floating to the Hematology/Oncology ward.

But, on the bright side, I went over to my brother's house last night and it was so, SO GREAT. He's home, he's doing well, he's 90% and counting, and he's OKAY. I can't get over it. My cheeks hurt from smiling.
