(no subject)
i have a rant. im not too sure if anyone else has brought this up in this community. but if they did i apologize now for talkin about it.... seriously! i just felt i had to get this off my chest. it was really bothering me.
i dont consider myself one to be racist but i do not act blind to thw wrong things i see. even if their racist.
plenty of people, of color, complain about certain stuff in the media, with colored people. for institance... some people may feel that the media takes stuff over board with people of color. and i have noticed since i have been in high skool that some commercials and/or advertisements can be racists.
for example... when i look at television and i see a company that help people out of debt... 98% of the time they show a black couple or family. but thats 98%. and then i see commercials about drugs and teenagers using them... and again 9 times out of 10 the commercial has to do with an minority child.
i have graduated now. but when i first moved to Antioch, Ca... it was 90% white. i had never heard of it until my mom wanted to move here. and when i first came here and went to my high skool they had posters all over the skool of suicide hotlines or teen problem hotlines.... and the picture would show minority children needing help. im not going to lie and say that we dont nedd help.. but i mean white kids/children need help too...
no one has heard of a couple of minority teenagers going to skool with their guns and tryin to blow the skool up are kill a mass number of people.
im sorry if this offended anyone. but this is somethin that has bothered me. and i wanted to let it out. thanks for reading it...
