taking a hint from Rx

here's some music videos on YouTube.

Travis - Re-Offender
I posted the song a while back and said the music video was really good, so here it is. I have enormous love for the last image.

Cowboy Mouth - Disconnected (live)
Yummmm. Live version on Craig whoever show - how many times can you say you've seen the lead singer play the drums?

VAST - Pretty when you cry
A bit disturbing, sort of. Warning for one incidence of swearing.

Takkyu Ishino ft. Tabito Nanao - Last Scene
Omfg, older men homoeroticism. This video is funkycrazy.

I'm sorry, I tried to just do music videos, but... here are some commercials...

Dunkin Donuts Smoothie
Addictive.

Sprint Nextel
I ASPIRE to be those men.

Sprint Crime Deterrent
I think Sprint makes some of the bext commericals.

sadly now I must off to work go. perhaps an attic i shall seek....

Support Ms. Chambers!

She's involved in a play called "When An Inspector Calls" at the CCBC in Essex. It officially opens Saturday, and tickets are either 12 or 15 dollars. BUT tomorrow night is the final dress rehearsal and it's a FREE SHOW. Which is cool, because it's free.

So, if anyone else is going to go to the show tomorrow - starting at 8pm - (or even over the weekend), please to be telling me, because then I'll snivel and ask politely to hitch a ride; I can pay you gas and hindrance money after Friday (pay day!)

Yeah, you all rock. Ciao. Chao (i think that's how the spanish spell it).

music from agent-spoonman

as in, i meant to post it in litkids, but forgot. so here's the music alone (all movie ranting tucked away in my personal lj), and sorry for any repeat views.

Iannis Xenakis - Concert Ph II
This is kind of a creepy song - I found the CD while browsing the library; something about sonology and "new electric music," which I assume is making music with machines or something (is too lazy to wiki it). But it's worth a listen. It's intriguing.

Better than Ezra - Misunderstood
BTE=love. I love everything about them (they're having a golf open to support New Orleans) and this song, like so many others, has a great sense of character.

Covenant - Greater than the Sun
One of those drolling, monotone-dark-techno things. I kinda like it, but I've also had the song for less than three hours.

The Who - Behind Blue Eyes
OH get this - the who and the red hot chili peppers and maybe others are coming to BALTIMORE, performing at Pimlico. SOOO excited. I hope tickets (which go on sale July 22) are reasonably priced. As for this song, I really, really like the line about the coat. It makes me happy inside.

INTERLUDE. i just wiki-ed Sonology:
Sonology is the study of sound. There are many approaches, but generally it can be divided into the artistic and the scientific approaches. It is related to fields such as acoustics, electronic music, electronics, informatics, composition and psychology.
hmm.

Splashdown - Waterbead
have i posted this before? i have no idea. I continue to intensely enjoy this group, and this is one of their slower songs. Beware, for it gets stuck in heads quite easily.

Gorillaz - Latin Simone (Que Pasa Contigo)
Good beats. Also in Spanish. HERMANO! (yeah but not really)

Overseer - Meteorology
Hmm. This song's just cool.

annnnndddd i think i'm done. you can tell from the degradation of song comments. enjoy.

a request (xposted to ag_spoo)

Okay, so a month or so ago, I was listening to the radio in the car, and it was some classic rock song (Pink Floyd's "comfortably Numb"), and I remembered a poem I read forever ago. BUT I have no idea who did it or what it's called or anything. It was nighttime, so the connection between the song and the poem was weird, but the line "hello, is there anybody in there/etc" sparked the memory.

(vaguely) the poem is about a door, and on one side is a man, and damn this is hard to describe. Something about a voice coming from the other side of the door, and shadows, but the voice isn't a real voice, and the man leaves after knocking and receiving no reply. And the voice comes after the man has left....???

Yeah, searching for it has started to drive me crazy. Anything come to mind?
hand!

oh boy a post.......!

Would anyone be interested in a Mailing-List type thing? We could call it Dr Worm or something else incredibly inside joke. I don't know. It's been years since I've messed around with the Yahoo Groups but they aren't hard to figure out. Thoughts? Pennies?!

and dude now I have just one more place to post music *dork*

Flogging Molly - What's Left of the Flag
someone somewhere on the internet once likened this song to Night Watch and now that's one thing i always think about when listening to it - it does fit to a certain regard

Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble - Distant Green Valley
hurrah for the instrumental pretties

Lemon Jelly - Space Walk
i recently bought the LJ dvd and it made me HAPPY; i also like how this song picks up

Flying - Last Trick
i have no information about this band at all, but this has gotta be one of my favorite songs of all time. in addition it's quiet so turn up your speakers.

loving times for all~~
