So, sirenofodysseus commented on how she would rather like to write some more Lisbon/Red John and soon. So, the community was born. Partially because I think the ship deserves some recognition.

But also so I had a place to host this, the Red John-athon!

What is a Red John-athon?

No, it's not Red John's twin brother, Johnathon. ;-) It's a ficathon, with a catch: every fic is to be related to Red John!

A ficathon is basically a way of generating a lot really awesome fic in a short amount of time. People post prompts (explained below) and others respond with fanfic. And then, to add a twist, there's the time factor. You only have a limited amount of time to write!

What are the running dates?

We have a start date, 20th January 2012. But because Red John is pretty evil and scary, (or sad and misunderstood, I get confused sometimes) I'm not going to specify an end date for now. Instead, we'll let the community decide as a general consensus at a later date and I'll edit accordingly.

RULES:

1. All prompts must feature at least Red John. 
2. All ratings, genres, pairings, characters, crossovers, kinks etc. can be requested, provided that Red John is involved somehow. 
3. Feel free to post/pimp your fic elsewhere. However, please make sure you reply to the prompter with a link!
4. No claiming prompts.
5. More than one fic can be written in response to a single prompt. Don't worry if you're 2/3rds of the way through your best fic ever and somebody else posts a response before you.
6. Please post prompts in separate comments!
7. Anyone can prompt! You don't have to write (or plan to write) in order to leave prompts!

POSTING PROMPTS:

Prompts can be anything! Situations, single words, song lyrics, phrases, whatever. The only limit is your imagination. Anyone can post prompts - and as many as they like.

Welcome to lisbon_redjohn, home of possibly one of the most random (and unlikely?) ships from CBS' The Mentalist.
