Stiles felt his mouth go as dry as the Sahara in the middle of summer. His toes curled inside their sneakers. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down, his eyes straining to avoid looking at the door at the other end of the room through which the dentist would soon enter.
Once a year. That’s all. How difficult can it be to just man up and deal with this?
Suddenly, the door swung open and in came the dentist. He donned his gloves with a sadistic twang of latex and grinned.
“Hello, Stiles”, Derek growled mischievously.
