Summary: Lachesis didn’t entirely know what to do with herself.
Lachesis didn’t entirely know what to do with herself. Everything about human life, and the freedom she had gained alongside it was all new to her. Kyoka told her not to worry. Especially since today was going to be what she called a “lazy day”. Whatever the hell that meant.
She looked over to the clock while sitting on the couch. Focusing in on how the hand moved around on a rhythm. Her mind was almost blank. Not that long ago during a time like this she’d be worked to the bone by Glion. Made to further his plans.
Now what did she even do? To be free was a wonderful thing, yes. But her life had to be built from the ground up all over again.
Kyoka couldn’t help but notice how she was sitting in complete silence. Looking awkward, kind of like someone else she knew… She had an idea.
“Lache-chan.” Kyoka called from across the room. “You’re overthinking things! Come on, let’s go out to town.”
“To do what, precisely?”
“Just to walk around!” Patting Lachesis’ shoulder, then giving a quick kiss on her cheek. Making her form the tiniest of smiles. “Some fresh air will do you good I think.”
So they did walk around. Passing by stores, and seeing people walk by.
Everyone they passed by was just living their life. Lachesis felt she’d one day be able to do the same. She just had to get there first, and Kyoka was there to help.
