Summary: Rinne works on a way to help Hotaro's injuries. - Based on my fic "Hard At Work", this time told from Rinne's POV.
Rinne could feel the sweat forming at her brow as she continued to work with the chemicals. Glancing over to the old, dusty book next to her. It was in a language that was considered mostly dead to the world of alchemy. But thanks to her studies, she was able to decipher it.
If done right, she’d create a liquid that would work wonders on the many wounds Ichinose compounded when fighting Dread.
This was her best friend. And she wanted to help him, in any possible way that she could.
The rest of the world was currently shut off from her. Nothing could separate her from this task. She was determined. Especially after seeing him risk his life like that against Dread…
Well, there was only one thing that could take her focus away, if only for a brief moment.
“What are you doing Kudo?” A voice broke the silence.
Rinne placed the chemicals down and turned around. Ichinose was awake in the cot they set up earlier.
“Once this is done, it should help with your wounds.”
Seeing his eyes light up as she said that… It meant the world.
And she wasn’t going to let him down.
