Pimping (kind of)

Not sure if there is still anyone hanging around here seeing this, but I just HAVE to post it here now:

Some of you have probably heard of it and some may not know or care what it's about, but in the rare chance that there is any other fan of the beautifully crafted and very much beloved Outlander novels written by Diana Gabaldon out there who has, like me, been living under a rock for the past couple of months and doesn't know it yet: There's a tv series in the making! Claire and Jamie are coming alive as we speak!!! *barely suppresses a glass-splitting high-pitched 12-year-old fangirl-squeal*

Info can be found here - warning, filming is already going on, so there be spoilers:

Well, as you can tell I'm pretty excited about this, so please forgive me for making such a big deal about some not-so-new news that everyone already knows about. I've been secretly wishing for something like this to happen for the past 10-15 years, and I'll be eternally grateful that someone has made me aware of the fact that it actually really is happening now! (you should check out her fabulous icons if you haven't already!)

Alright, that's all, anybody looking for me, I'll be right back there sitting in the corner flailing uncontrollably as I've been doing all week long. :)

This comes a little late (or early, however you want to look at it), but I don't know when/if I'll be able to post this later on, so:

MERRY CHRISTMAS
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
and a wonderful 2013 to everyone!

I hope all of you had a great year and will have an even better one upcoming; for those of you whose past few months maybe haven't been all that much fun, please don't give up believing that better times will come to you soon - they will, eventually.

Stay well and healthy, everyone, and we'll hopefully see/hear/read each other soon again. :)

Not on hiatus, but...

... in case anybody was beginning to wonder, I'm working full-time at the moment (which, by the way, is quite exhausting for someone being a student like me... I'm just not used to a regular long working day anymore!) and thus have not a lot of time to be around LJ these days, meaning there will be less comments and posting from me for yet a little while longer. It likely will not make much of a difference, it's not like I've been very active this year anyway despite having all the best intentions >:(, but I felt like should at least say something for those who are still watching this sad little abandoned place. ♥

At least there's still enough energy to catch up with the newest Merlin episode each week - people can say whatever they want, but season 5 is the most fantastic thing that ever existed. *imagine a big fluffy cloud of tiny little pinkish hearts floating here* (Please don't leave us, show. Please?! Pretty, pretty please?! *sadface_in_advance*)

Edit: Funnily enough, the few times I actually attempt to post, LJ is acting up. Every. single. time. Hopefully this is not a bad sign.

Ok, so this looks really really awesome, it's basicly two of my favourite worlds coming together: roleplay/questing AND icon making, how cool is that?!

I didn't sign up (yet), but just thought I'd spread the word in my little corner of the internet, as it seems to be something really huge and amazing and also very well planned out, so YAY! :)

This post also serves as a life-sign post, I'm still there just really really busy in rl right now - hope to be back on track soon. (I said this before, didn't I? Oh well.)

Anyway, have a beautiful weekend, everyone =)

Semi-hiatus

Just to let you all know why I'm not very much online these days - as I already mentioned earlier I'm having exams at the moment and over the whole next three weeks, so if I don't comment a lot or not post anything, that is why.

For those who requested something at the Ask the Maker thread (in case you read here) - don't worry, I've partly been working on everything already and will hopefully be able to post things soon after the exams are over, which will be around the 14th of February.

Until then, see ya'll very soon! :)

Sooooo, I'm back in my own little home again! *huggles her functioning computer whilst glaring at the weather outside*

Anyway, it's time to spent endless hours in Photoshop again start looking into my books as quickly as possible now. Really, studying would be the best job ever if someone hadn't invented those damn exams at semester's end. *sighs miserably*

I also think I've missed a couple of amazingly beautiful entries from my dear ♥ f-list over the past couple of days, I promise I'll try to get back to all of you as soon as I can, but if you still feel like I overlooked something important or want me to take a look at something immediately just tell me and I'll rush over as quickly as my poor old feet allow. ;)

And, because a new year wouldn't be a new year without some (hopefully-to-be-kept) New Year's resolutions, here are my goals for 2012:

1. Pass my exams. *prays*
2. Get rid of that huge and evergrowing procrastination monster that keeps housing inside of me.
3. Read more.
4. Try to be a little more appreciative of myself.
5. Become a better iconist/graphic person.
6. Do something for my non-existent fitness.
7. Learn how to cook.
