Apply for the WVU Libraries August 2026 Graduate Student Library Immersion Program, a 3-day intensive workshop designed to improve participants’ research skills. The program will be held August 10-12 in the Downtown Library. The application deadline is June 5.

On April 27, Mark Paris started as dean of WVU Libraries and Press, and is already championing a future of innovation and strategy for WVU Libraries — which stewards 2.8 million unique titles, nearly 700 research databases, 245,000 journals and newspapers, and more.

The WVU Libraries Art in the Libraries initiative invites current graduate students to submit ideas for consideration for an exhibit to visually showcase their scholarship in new and experimental ways.

WVU Libraries invites undergraduate students who wrote an exceptional humanities or social sciences research paper this 2025-26 academic year to submit their work by June 5 for consideration for the Robert F. Munn Library Scholars Award.
Funding secured for full-time women’s collections archivist
Thanks to a generous donation from West Virginia Feminist Activist and Women's History Collection Advisory Board member Deb Miller, the WVRHC will continue its mission to discover, preserve, and share the stories of women who shaped the Appalachian region via a full-time women’s collections archivist.

- On May 9, the Neal Museum will host a documentary screening of “Beacon Light: A History of Ohio Valley General Hospital and Ohio Valley Medical Center” to celebrate the opening of its new exhibit, “Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing.”
