Library Renovations Summer 2026

Due to the renovation work that will occur this summer of 2026, the Archives & Special Collections Department will be working in a satellite location with very limited access to our physical collections. If you require an in-person research appointment this summer, please reach out to Leah Loscutoff, lloscuto@stevens.edu, no later than Thursday, May 14, so we can ensure access to the collection you are interested in with plenty of notice.

For general remote research assistance, reach out to us here. In addition, please consult our digital collections to view what is available online already. Thank you!

Archives & Special Collections

The Samuel C. Williams Library Archives & Special Collections department collects, preserves, and makes accessible primary source materials that document the history of Stevens Institute of Technology, the Stevens family of Hoboken, and the history of science and technology. We collaborate with Stevens faculty, staff, students, and community members on historical lectures, walking tours, exhibitions, and other outreach initiatives. In addition, we assist local and global researchers with original research using collections preserved in the Archives & Special Collections, which contain unique and rare materials that are non-circulating and may be viewed by appointment only. We also provide access to a number of digitized materials covering over 150 years of Stevens history via our digital collections portal.
