As you might have read, the FDA this past Monday banned distribution of clove and all flavored cigarettes (with the not-so-interesting exception of mentholated cigarettes). An LJ community has been created for the topic of repealing the ban: legalize_kretek. The community shall serve as a repository of links and useful information supporting arguments and strategies for repeal of the ban. Specifically, if you have any information to share regarding the 1989 repeal of the kretek ban that was in effect in the state of Nevada, your contributions would be appreciated.

I have created a group for social liberals, which covers all of the social liberty
issues in which positions are strongly correlated. I have not found any other
such group on livejournal or elsewhere on the internet:

Libertarians of various kinds (libertarian capitalists, libertarian socialists, and
variants thereof) conflict on economic issues, but all sorts of libertarians are
usually social liberals. This is therefore a broad group, and one which focuses
purely on the social liberty issues.

Does anyone know what happened to fabianwhig? He made me a maintainer and I just noticed that his account was deleted and I figured most of the people here, of all places, would know who he was and might know what's goin' down.
