- It has a nice cast and an interesting subject to explore: long-term relationships, not only within a marriage, but also between couples who have built a shared life around each other.
- I think Karen and Gabe are quite possessive and judgmental about their long-term friends, Beth and Tom. Instead of giving them space to sort things out, they offer unwanted advice and moral judgments. They also seem to focus heavily on what Tom’s affair does to them:…

Like:

- I enjoy the boldness and harshness of French horror so much. The film understands that horror often lives exactly where we do not want to look: unborn babies, pregnancy, birth, and the fear of harm coming to something completely vulnerable. It shocks me and I enjoy it. I want to see it and I absolutely do not want to see it and for me, that tension is part of what horror is.

- Ryan Gosling really carries this movie. It must be difficult to act opposite something non-human and still convey so much emotion, compassion, and empathy. The film also chooses a somewhat comedic approach, and both Ryan Gosling and Sandra Hüller handle understated comedy very well. I really enjoyed that.
