my hand was on my chest for so much of this due to the sheer anxiety i felt during the film. huge debut for kane parsons. the first half act and part of the second one truly felt like a masterclass in the art of movies. the 3rd act loses its way a bit but i think there is an insane amount of potential to expand on this one. i hope kane parsons makes more backrooms films because this certainly proves he is more than worthy to direct one of the most interesting horrors of the past decade.

Is the movie as good as the critics say, question?

Yes. Amaze. Amaze. AMAZE!

Not only is the story rich with beautiful cinematography and vibrant color, but they somehow showed Rocky and Grace’s friendship in a way that had me even more moved than when I read the book. You can tell the people working on this movie really wanted to make it special. This is a movie you need to watch multiple times to really take in how meticulously it was created. I love this movie and I’m going to be talking about this one for the rest of my life.
