Re-watch

I'll always remember that when I first saw this with my wife, we both liked it because this rewatch was problematic, to say the least. The stilted dialogue, poor visual effects, leaden performances, and sloppy direction mean this is forever taken off my rewatchables list, but I have the memory of enjoying it with my wife upon release so I will always choose to remember that over what this film actually is.

Backrooms

I'm not entirely sure what I just watched, but I was intrigued and mesmerized the whole runtime. People enter the Backrooms through a magical door and then maybe stay or maybe don't, and they are consumed by the complexity of the Backrooms and their trauma? Like I originally said, I don't know. But I was never bored watching it. Good enough for me.

Last line of this movie should have been, "I'm here to pick up the 4 runner." This movie was absurd and not in a good way.

Saturday Night

The best compliment I can pay Saturday Night is that it feels like a Saturday Night Live episode. It's electric, manic, wild, over the top, messy, and loses its footing a few times but always leaves you remembering moments. In my entire life, I've never remembered an entire SNL episode, but I sure do remember sketches and jokes. I'll always fondly remember this movie the same way.
