It’s definitely weaker than the first two, and you can feel the production issues bleeding through the screen at times. The sequel feels pulled in too many directions, like everyone involved wanted a different product. Even with the kitchen burning down around him, Chef Raimi still manages to throw in great action, weird humor, and just enough heart to hold it together. A lot of it is disappointing, sure, but after all these years, the main thing that still sticks with me is the idea that revenge poisons everything around you.
