A surprise hit film -- a rare combination of good plot mechanics, relatable character, layered plot, and overall entertaining and impactful.
Seeing Christopher Columbus get destroyed during the first fight scene, the references to the schools of americas and the "white knight" character shows how the director gave depth and social commentary to what could have been movie with mindless FX fighting and fart jokes or something.
