Lots of really cool stuff in here. The stop-motion, the costumes, the vibrant energy. Surreal and joyful with a good message.
At first I was bothered by the lack of cohesion, but the more I think about it, the less that really matters. I think more movies need to be this ballsy without worrying about trying to have a perfect plot or super tight narrative.
But I do think the sci-fi stuff could have been pared down quite a bit and the messaging of the whole thing could have been better explored.
Overall really cool.

Saw the first ever pre-screening so I won’t be rating or discussing it due to the NDA. I really hope me logging this isn’t legally actionable. Let’s just say I really hope this gets a proper theatrical release and isn’t relegated to streaming only.

Someone let this old guy cook, and I’m glad. Actually, he definitely didn’t need permission to cook.
So many great comedic moments throughout.
The ONLY thing I’m confused about is Dustin Hoffman’s character—who was he and why was he there? I’m not saying he shouldn’t be there. I just didn’t grasp his whole thing.
