Moneyball
★★★★ Watched

Brad Pitts spends more time eating than he does at an actual baseball game in this movie, which goes down as a positive in my book.

If you have someone in your life who hates sports, this is a great gateway drug to sports movies.

Wonka
★★★★★ Liked Rewatched

After watching this again, I have to do it.

Officially moving Wonka into my top 4 movies.

That’s right, point and laugh. I can’t hear you over the joy and happiness I’m experiencing in this magical land of sweets.

Point is, this is my list, and I choose to submit to my guilty pleasure that is Wonka.

Ocean's Eleven
★★★★ Watched

For all the funny bells and whistles of Ocean’s Eleven, it is the closing scene of the crew quietly gazing at the Bellagio fountain that really stood out to me. A wonderful visual depiction of awe, relief, and happiness laid out before the audience, undiluted by clever dialogue or tiny sunglasses.

Also, have to say that as an LDS man who occasionally says four letter words that I shouldn’t, I felt very seen by the LDS characters in this movie. I’m still spiritual, damn it!
