What a beautiful film. The kids just need a space to be, create, shine, and exist together! There is joyyyy in movement. So inspired by this film.
White Hollywood’s apocalyptic fantasies are the reality of the African diaspora. Especially Black Americans. So many Black people are living in a post apocalyptic world. And living and creating and driving culture in spite of that. I am so inspired.
I really liked this. Historical, well-paced, witty dialogue. Made me feel indescribable rage. White people need to get real about how fucked up they’ve been for so long. Maybe it’s because it’s Black History Month but I really don’t wanna see a white person for the rest of the year after watching this. The families of Matt Steiner, Robert Florance Jr., and Senator John L. McClellan owe the Garrets and Morrises everything they own. And then some!!!
