Found the pacing slow at bits but it had a fantastic use of special effects
The head blowing scene?? Gahdahmn

Jenn Nkiru is just one of those directors like mayneeee this is so dope.
Afro surrealism done in a engaging way mixing archival footage and picturesque moments it’s like a dream - a mix of the past, present and what the future will be for the black experience across the diaspora.

Disappointing
Found it slow at first, unnecessary slow
At first it had a midsommer vibe but then it wasn’t.
The tone was odd. It was a horror with comedic flare that just didn’t work. Would’ve worked better as just a straight horror film. Mixing in comedy didn’t work made the film goofy. The serious tense moments were just reduced to quick jokes.
Ralph fiennes was good as always
Editing was jarring. It would cut unnecessary-just didn’t like the style tbh
Typical eat the rich type film that could’ve been executed better.
Josh Safdie is an exciting Director- the stakes are there and the film NEVER lets you breathe (in a good way)
I just wanted more character development from Marty because his character was hard to emphasise with
