one of the greatest films of the 21st century. primarily because of the balance of a great story that can be viewed intellectually, visually and musically in ways that are sophisticated and beautiful. Of historical note is how color and light are used with intention to express character development. the dramatic symbolism of colors for narrative is excellent, and the manipulation through bright lights to effect how the technicolor saturation is maximized has never been executed at this level in film and you can experience the narrative through the dialogue, the music and the colors. this movie is unique and wonderful.
