I love suspicion and paranoia-driven films, and I can’t think of any other movie that does that so well while also excelling in its casting, atmosphere, pacing, and practical effects. It’s one of the most rewatchable horror films ever made and Carpenter’s masterpiece. The thing is, it’s a classic for a reason

My 4th rewatch and it only gets better. The cinematography is on another level, I just noticed that one shot straight out of Bergman’s Persona, and I really love how the darker reality slowly overshadows the dreamlike fantasy. It’s a work of unsettling beauty that confirms Lynch’s genius.
