Incoherent mess. Easily the worst of the franchise. Getting 1 star instead of a half star because Freddy’s head exploding at the end was genuinely hilarious.

Bumping this bad boy up bc I liked it that much more on my second watch. Knew exactly what was coming every time and actually felt more unsettled?? Idk man. Shout out Curry. Shout out Inde.
Also shout out to the person sitting directly behind me that dropped their phone on the concrete floor 6 times. Just put it in your fucking pocket man.

A lovely debut from Mr. Parsons. I saw an interview of his recently where he was asked to name a movie everyone should see before they die. In hindsight, surprised he didn’t say something like FWWM or Blue Velvet. The dinner scene is soooooo David Lynch coded and I loved it a lot.
Although some of the themes/story lines at times felt like they were half baked, the rest make up for it: set design, atmosphere, makeup, effects, were all top notch and super impressive. I can’t wait to see what Parsons is cooking up next.
