Shades of brilliance. Plays like Peckinpah’s The Getaway. Unintentionally, this film is an argument against the musical biopic. Its whole soundtrack is CCR, it’s awesome. The movie’s not about music in any way yet capsulizes the band and links it with such a temporal flavor (that of 70s New Hollywood) that both the music and the movie become indebted to each other. Also it has some of the most beautiful locations. The road movie epitomized
