it was tough for me to get on board in the beginning bc rachel mcadams felt miscast at first (she’s just too magnetic and also conventionally attractive for me to buy her as the frumpy dork) but once they get to the island the role is perfect for her. i think this would have worked better for me if i’d seen it in a theater but i had a lot of fun!
