One of the most disturbing movies I’ve seen this year simply because it feels like something that can happen any time in real life. Those kids were insane, and their parents somehow made it even worse.
I hated this movie in the best way possible. Never watching it again for the sake of my mental stability.
Ready or Not was so good. I expected a basic horror movie because a lot of times movies that try to start a franchise end up sucking, but this was way better than I thought it’d be.
Samara Weaving absolutely carried the whole thing — watching Grace slowly go from terrified bride to completely feral survivor was insanely satisfying.
The mix of dark comedy and brutal violence worked perfectly, and the family being so ridiculously committed to their weird ritual made everything even better. Also that ending was genuinely insane in the best way possible.

the animation is stunning, glowing lanterns and lush landscapes that make the world feel so magical. the soundtracks are just wow, kingdom dance unlocked something in my brain and I still listened to it till this day.
Mother Gothel is ONE of the best villains —passive-aggressive, manipulative, and chillingly real.
