i quite liked this. very captivating, esp the first half. i think the cinematography was really great combined with the dope sets. But i think it may have been a bit stronger with less story. if handled right the messaging could’ve worked, but it ends up falling a bit flat and slowing things down. the dinner table stuff and onwards is not as lit as what comes before it, but it’s not bad.

More I just did not like season two as much as the first one. I think the opening episode is good, and the first few start strong, but it quickly is trying to do too much. Many of the characters feel less human, where in season one so many of them felt like real people. There are some good performances here, mainly Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan, but for how stupid Austin and Ashley are written, the actors still give good…

that was the most full theatre i’ve been in, at least since seeing an avengers movie, and it is easily the worst audience i have ever been apart of. someone was always getting up, at least 3 people always on their phone (and with more or less full brightness), and people talking. never a moment of silence from the crowd. behind, to the left, in front, to the right.…
