On rewatch, I noticed some flaws and minor details I disliked. It’s a very solid directorial debut and I love the concept, but at the same time I could tell it’s Curry Barker’s first feature length movie, because it feels very amateur-ish at times. Although, part of that may have also been because of the small budget as well, so I don’t fully blame him. But things like the music choices, excessive sound effects, rushed editing during the “love montage”…
Honestly thought it would get darker than it did. The concept was better than the execution, and I thought the production quality and acting were so shitty. The ending was so hollow, cheap and unredeeming that it pissed me off. Was hoping it would make up for the rest of the movie, but no. The Pixies needledrop was so corny. This could’ve been great but didn’t deliver. Genuinely what was the point? Don’t waste your time. I’m glad I didn’t spend any money on this trash.

The editing in this is freakin phenomenal. Absolutely love that shot of Neiman’s dad watching the potential of his son at the end.
