It’s a sin that this movie is 138 minutes. Also the history of black music sequence is an abomination. Making Marvel movies probably ruined Ryan Coogler as a filmmaker. Funny how black culture in film is almost exclusively relegated to things like music and fashion now. To be black is political yet modern Hollywood films that are made about the black experience completely leave out the radical black tradition. To highlight “black history” and fail to include this fact is also a sin. Sinners indeed.
