Hertzfeldt continues the same energy and philosophy in this he had with the Simpsons couch gag and it was incredible to see this on the big screen. It’s def what I needed to see at this point in my life. Existential dread with life reaffirmation at the end.

Heartfelt and minimalistic. And definitely heartbreaking seeing someone go from being whimsical and creative to having their soul crushed

Why do people like this. It is not creepy, it is not clever, it’s just fucking boring and annoying. Not even atmospheric just fucking drab. I get why it’s frustrating, I guess trying to put you in the detective’s shoes?? But still just frustrating in a way that doesn’t add any tension. So much nothing. I can’t even divulge any details cus it’s just. Annoying. Everyone sucked in this too, couldn’t relate to anyone.

The only funny part was the flash of the monkey.
