Very different in tone than part 1. Way more a fun action fantasy quest movie, but also more fast paced.
Yes super cartoonish, but fun and Arnie doing Arnie noises is always fun. Also: Grace effin Jones adds quite some entertainment.

We got the beautiful austrian landscapes known from cheesy home cinema of post ww2 germany, beautiful costumes and... Well... tons of torture so gruesome it got this film banned for a long time. And said torture might in post hostel times not shock too hard, but in 70s europe it must have hit really hard.

Nordic Drama-Mystery hybrids really do work so often. The only real problem this film might have that it is „just“ really good, not masterpiece level like Let the right one in reached.
Still a film every genrefan with an open mind for a bit of drama should check out. Your heartstrings will thank you
