It’s too hot to sleep. Sometimes only a classic will do!
I loved this! The lighting and colours were out of this world, and the goblin soundtrack was probably the best music in horror I’ve heard, even better than my previous favourite Candyman.
The atmosphere was tense, the deaths were brilliant. My only quibble was the terrible dubbing. I know that a lot of Italian films are done this way, but it made some already wooden acting even worse. Felt like a Garth Marenghi episode at points. That’s the only thing preventing this getting a 5*.
I’m now tempted to watch the remake……
It doesn’t get much better than this. 100 minutes of pure action, with each fight getting more and more urgent. Some amazing little set pieces like the machete in the wall space and the exploding fridge contribute to nothing short of a masterpiece. This form of martial arts is proper brutal too, all knees and elbows. The choreography is insanely good.
I’ll never tire of this film.
