the first thing i want to say about it is that it’s so heartbreaking. and in repetition. how many times can you uncover the same truth and horrify yourself all the same? how much will it take to break through denial, through years of trust? to break a life in half?

i liked the movie as a whole, and the last 30 minutes are pure excellence!!! however, i failed to stay engaged with the story in a way. it’s very meta, and that’s ok, but that took some of the potency of the narrative away. it felt almost like it was about too much at the same time, and it didn’t have room to do it all. i loved these characters…
