why am I watching this

Plays it really safe and not nearly the grand finale we might have expected. Probably the most throwaway of the series

I wouldn’t be surprised if we just got a romcom starring Ed and Lorraine Warren for the next film.

You can feel the lack of Wan’s horror charm here but it does feel fresh with some great sequences, particularly the opening. Slightly better than I expected overall but the story still felt a little shaky in parts with a lot of back and forth between the various locations.

A Pretty Noisy Place After All Part 2 

This is an excellent follow-up to the first instalment with perfectly crafted sound design and heaps of tension in a film that really doesn’t overstay its welcome. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this one since I left the cinema.
