I will NOT be gaslit into thinking this is a feminist film!
Incredible pictures (except for when they show a naked sexualised 13 year old???), colours and costumes but i need to watch like 4 video essays before i'll understand what was happening. Also the plot just seemed to keep and keep repeating itself in circles to the point we almost fell asleep.
Very disappointing cautionary tale fed to teenagers about how "the revolutionaries are actually just as bad as the oppressors"
5 stars for nicole kidman in reading glasses but -2 for the fact that every other line out of tom cruise's mouth was just him repeating back in an inquiring tone what his dialogue partner just said to him.
The most realistic part was probably the two parents trying to make existential decisions while christmas shopping with their kid and having to pause the conversation everytime she walks by.
