Wake Up Dead Man

I have the flu and this was fun to watch with my raging fever, curious if a mini series format would have worked better for the story because if all the exposition at the beginning, but overall beautiful performances and despite being an ex-catholic, I appreciated this take on catholicism greatly.

Cinema Q Fest 2025; i love when we (the gays) get funny, ridiculous, semi-thriller movies that aren’t about the “trauma” of being gay. it was so fun to watch this in a packed theatre. also I watched this after watching Dylan O’Brien in Ponyboi, and low-key i love whatever journey he is on with his identity.

Some random thoughts: 

I really felt like I was watching a future portrait of myself in 20 odd years. 

This film reminded me how desperate I am to see non Mar-A-Lago celebrities in film. 

The editor of this film has brilliant comedic timing.
